Wrinkled AZ-Gov. Jan Brewer Puts Her Finger in Pres. Obama’s Face

Oh, AZ-Gov. Jan Brewer thinks she is a big girl now? Hmmph! She better put down that finger before it gets broken. (Photo credit unknown)
I have been traveling this week and have been out of pocket. However, I had to find out what all the fuss was about Arizona’s Gov. Jan Brewer (R) while I was gone.
Then I saw the picture of her wagging her finger in President Obama’s face on the tarmac as he arrived in Arizona.
From there, I instantly got pissed off.
Who in the hell does Gov. Brewer think she is? This is the President of the United States, not her homegirl that she is beefing with from her crochet club. Gov. Brewer says that she was angry about comments the president made about her book, “Scorpions For Breakfast.”
In the book, Brewer says that the president lectured her about her state’s shitty immigration law that the U.S. Department of Justice has put the brakes on for now. She called him “thin-skinned” because he didn’t take to her written characterization too well.
All that is well and good, but one should never put their finger in someone’s face in a professional setting. EVER! To me, that gesture is reserved for an elder talking to their young child — not a 50-year-old man that’s the leader of the free world.
I don’t give a shit what she thought about his critique of her little book. As a grown man, he deserves respect. I would never think to put my finger in Newt Gingrich or John Boehner’s faces even though I don’t agree with a lot of what they say. I still respect them as people and the office they hold.
Her Royal Saggy-ness needs to be worried about how to quit racially profiling the brown people in her state and get more Arizonans working. She could also stand to READ an etiquette book or two in her spare time. Clearly, she conducts herself like she has no home training!

Gabrielle Giffords Focuses On Recovery and Resigns from Congress
Posted on 23. Jan, 2012 by Stevie.
Lord, the water works are going to start on a Monday afternoon. It’s too early in the week for this!
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the brave Congresswoman who was the victim of a shooting one year ago, announced her resignation from Congress this week. In a pre-recorded video, Giffords said she is stepping down to continue to focus on her medical recovery. But she says, “I will be back…”
The video is really amazing because Giffords suffered a major brain injury when she was shot at point blank range on January 8, 2011. The Congresswoman was hosting the “Congress On Your Corner”event when Jared Lee Loughner opened fire killing six and wounding 13.
Her recovery has shown just how tough her spirit and will to live are. We wish her continued success in her ongoing recovery!

Rick Santorum gives us a half-smirk because the state of Iowa was so freaking late in declaring him the winner of the Iowa caucuses. He must be pissed about the lost momentum. (Photo credit unknown)
As you get your fix of everything related to 2012 politics, I wanted to share a footnote with you from the state of Iowa.
Rick Santorum really won the Iowa caucuses, not Mitt Romney. So, if you see us refer to Santorum as the Iowa winner, please know that we aren’t going crazy.
The Republican Party of Iowa confirmed that Rick Santorum led the race by 38 votes. The first projection had Romney leading by eight votes.
The announcement was belated news for the Santorum campaign that had since lost in New Hampshire on January 10 with a fifth place finish. Campaign officials received the updated Iowa tally on the eve of the January 21 primary in South Carolina, which didn’t do much of anything to boost Santorum’s third place finish there.
Oh well! At least Santorum can say he won at least one of the races. Now he, Romney, and Newt Gingrich each have one win under their belts heading into the January 31 Florida primary.
Santorum is looking really “vice presidential” now, if you get what I mean. He attracts the voters, but not enough of them to make an impact or even be declared the winner on time. ::sigh::

Well, somebody somewhere loves some Newt Gingrich. South Carolina has proven to be the first state to openly show it.
Newt Gingrich won the South Carolina primary race on Saturday with an astounding 40 percent of the GOP vote. He beat Mitt Romney, who placed second with a 28 percent showing. Rick Santorum and Ron Paul came in third and fourth respectively with 17 and 13 percent of the vote.
In short, Newt was rewarded for ignoring New Hampshire and heading straight to South Carolina to campaign after the Iowa caucuses. He surged ahead of Romney in the polls leading up to Saturday’s contest. Romney and his robotic style and wealth (that people strangely seem to hate) just cannot connect with voters.
The South Carolina vote shows a few different ways this race is turning for Republicans. Here are a few:
- Newt is finding his voice among Southern Republicans. He is from Georgia after all. This will be more important as the candidates head into Florida on January 31.
- The issue of Newt’s marital infidelity didn’t have time to stick with SC voters. We’ll have to wait and see how it plays out in FL. The issue is definitely not over, especially since he looks hypocritical for playing it up with Bill Clinton in the 1990′s.
- Now Santorum, Romney, and Gingrich each have one win per person in the contests so far. This means that an upcoming win in Florida could boost either three of the candidates.
- Ron Paul hasn’t won anything yet. He already told CNN on Saturday night that he plans to look at the caucuses beyond Florida, hinting that he doesn’t think he is going to win in the Sunshine State. He needs to go ahead and break away to run as a third-party candidate to split up the vote.
- Newt is already talking like he has won the entire GOP nomination and is facing President Obama head-to-head. He claims that he will challenge the president to seven three-hour debates on issues. Is Newt trying to make my fingers fall off? Damn..
So, for all our Florida readers .. BRACE YOURSELVES! The next 10 days are going to be hellish in your media markets as the GOP candidates try to spend their way to victory. I wouldn’t go near a TV or radio until February 1. Just a fair warning if you hate election commercials. lol..

I’m pretty sure the paint was peeling off the walls in the North Charleston Coliseum on Thursday night.
The remaining four GOP candidates – Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum – gathered for the CNN/Southern Republican Presidential Debate about a broad range of issues.
The attitudes started flying as soon as the first question was asked.
John King began by asking Newt about his ex-wife Marianne and her salacious new charges about him asking for an open marriage in their relationship.
That’s when Newt erupted like a volcano in a tirade against John King!
In all fairness, the question has little to do with the campaign. But remember, we just went through a month of Herman Cain being dragged for all kinds of charges. There wasn’t a peep from the Gingrich campaign to stop it. Also, he was Speaker of the House in 1998 when Republicans vilified President Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky … while he (Newt) was having a secret affair with his current wife Callista!!
In a true deflection, Gingrich blamed the media for running with the story. That doesn’t quite make sense to me. He says the “elite liberal media” is “protecting Barack Obama.” Yeah, Obama was really protected when as the elected leader of the free world he had to show his BIRTH CERTIFICATE just to prove to Republicans that he was really an American.
It sounds like Newt needs to have a sit-down talk with his ex-wife and tell her to keep her mouth closed. Gingrich went on to berate King, CNN, and ABC News. He even said that his daughter wrote a letter to ABC asking them not to run Marianne’s interview.
It was HILARIOUS!
As usual, Newt used Sarah Palin’s tactic of making the media the scapegoat while using anger to bully the questioner. When you ask Newt about all the things HE wants to talk about and the filth he throws at Mitt Romney, then he’s Chatty Cathy. Ask him about those marriage vows or family values, then he’s a fresh mute. Nawl sir…
John King is a strong man. I applaud him for doing whatever he had to in order to keep his job and not choke Newt Gingrich on live television.
