Alvin Greene for President?

Please dear sweet Jesus on the mainline, say it ain’t so.
Failed U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene of South Carolina is dusting himself off after the November 2 election in the Palmetto State. Instead of cutting his losses and retreating to his life of unemployment, Greene has a little trick up his sleeve.
He wants to become the 45th President of the United States of America. Yep. He wants Harvard Law-educated Barack Obama to give up his seat of power in the Oval Office for his “barely making it” ass. Now I want you to take a second and really process that one…
Greene was beaten to a pulp by incumbent Sen. Jim DeMint (R) in the Senate race in South Carolina by a margin of 62-28 percent. So, it’s clear that the majority of voters in South Carolina don’t even want him representing their state in Congress.
Now, what in the hell does Greene think that the rest of us 49 states want?
Politico reported that Greene called the South Carolina Democratic Party to ask how much it costs to get on the state’s ballot as a presidential candidate. [The answer: $2,500 as of 2008]. Both Greene and the SCDP office confirmed that he asked about the filing fee.
I’m still at a loss over the 358,276 South Carolina voters who cast ballots in favor of Greene’s Senate bid. It scars my soul to think of how many more UNINFORMED voters might try to put him in the White House. *shakes*
I really thought that after Election Day passed that our coverage of Alvin Greene would ride off into the sunset. Ha! Greene is playing with my emotions and my time.
