Big Benny Gets a $100 Bill Makeover
Matt | On 21, Apr 2010
Today the U.S. government unveiled it’s newly-designed $100 bills in a ceremony in the Cash Room (gotta love that!) of the U.S. Treasury in D.C.
The ceremony was attended by Timothy Geithner (Secretary of the Treasury), Ben Bernanke (Federal Reserve Board Chairman), and Rosa Rios (U.S. Treasurer). They discussed the new bill and the improved counterfeit protections. People have been running wild trying to print their own fake money in this recession, but please note that it’s a FELONY! It’s not a good look in the slammer or on the resume. The new $100 bills will be in circulation on February 10, 2011.
Now that we have new currency, so can I find someone to GIVE me some please??? Doing this post and looking at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s website almost brought a tear to my eye. Do you know what I could do with a stack of new $100 bills right now?? (Jesus be an online bill pay…)
