BP to Give $500 Million for Impact Study of Oil Spill

It pisses me off to even have to write this headline after I watched the video above!
BP, in several attempts to save their oil-drenched image, has committed $500 million to study the impact of the oil spill they caused. Why don’t they take some of that money NOW and plug that massive hole that’s spewing good oil (and ultimately gasoline) that can go in my Buick?! Take some of those dollar bills and wipe off the black pelican (that’s supposed to be white) I saw on TV yesterday in Plaquemines Parish, La. How about that BP?!
Damn that “we love the community” B-S and BP still hasn’t addressed the problem that caused all of these headaches! People’s livelihoods, wildlife, beaches and ultimately storm impacts are going to be affected by this spill. I love Louisiana seafood, but not with a high-octane flavor with it! And I’m assuming that black drinking water causes indigestion.
BP is playing a whole lot of games in properly addressing what in the world is going on here. They’ve basically said (in so many words), “We drill the oil, but don’t know how to clean it up.” So, the new response is to funnel additional money into research about the spill impacts when they haven’t even researched how to get the leak to stop. Does that make any sense at all?!
Louisiana State University is set to receive the first payout of research money. The project will be conducted over a 10-year period, which is almost as long as this oil seems to have been leaking!
