Cronkite Faith & Freedom Award Goes to Rachel Maddow

| On 18, Aug 2010

Rachel Maddow has translated her unconventional brand of journalism into one WIN after another. Go Rachel!

I had to make mention of this one because I really like Rachel Maddow’s style of broadcast journalism.

A few years ago, I heard about Rachel on XM Radio because she used to have a radio show on Air America. She struck me as smart, informed, and passionate about the topics she covered. It’s not everyday you find that type of broadcaster.

Well, Maddow transitioned over to MSNBC once her show was cut from the radio. Now The Rachel Maddow Show is a force to be reckoned with in primetime TV talk. For her  work on the TV show, the Interfaith Alliance will award her the 2010 Walter Cronkite Faith & Freedom Award this October. She’s being honored for her coverage of religion and politics in today’s society. Her show is really good and driven by a good mix of RESEARCH and telling it like it really is.

Big congratulations to Rachel! [When do I get to be a guest on the show?! lol..]
