General McChrystal Is Trippin.com on Obama

Obama and McChrystal meet on lighter terms in this pic. That was before Judas (McChrystal) stabbed the National Security team in the backs.

The sh&t hit the fan today in the military ranks of the Obama Administration.  In fact, if they aren’t careful, Daddy O could be handing down some walking papers very soon!

If you don’t know by now, General Stanley McChrystal is the wayward military commander I’m talking about. In a Rolling Stone article released Tuesday morning, he showed his ass toward almost everyone in Obama’s national security team, including the POTUS himself.

McChrystal was interviewed at length over a month ago.  During the conversation, the interviewer asked him about Vice President Joe Biden.  His response was “Who is that?” At that point, an aide restated Biden’s name and he replied, “Did you say: Bite Me?”

He also said that the U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry, had “betrayed” him for expressing doubt toward the Afghan President Hamid Karzai.  [Karzai and McChrystal are BFF’s].  He had some other ammunition to fire toward the president, saying Obama seemed “uncomfortable and intimidated” by McChrystal when they first met.

None of this is a good look, especially in an organization as hellbent on unity, respect, and lack of expression of feeling, such as the United States military. There has already been a ton of public outcry about this war in Afghanistan and our troop losses.  This article goes deeper and really shows the divide between the military and civilian leadership. Again, divisiveness has NO PLACE in an unpopular and seemingly never-ending war.

Needless to say, President Obama was PISSED OFF at the article, according to his aides.  Obama’s response was to summon McChrystal back to the U.S. by Wednesday, most likely for a verbal thrashing around the regularly-scheduled security update meeting.  It’s unclear as to whether Obama will relieve him of his duties or keep him on the job.

This is obviously a serious matter.  The civilian press officer, Duncan Boothby, who works with McChrystal has already submitted his resignation.  He was the one who didn’t set clear boundaries for interview and allowed the statements to go on record to a reporter.  [Dummy!] McChrystal even tried to quit on Tuesday, but Obama said HE will have the final say-so on whether the General stays or goes.

I know General McChrystal has to be kicking himself for this one.  Well, Obama will help him out by placing his size 12 1/2 in the General’s ass on Wednesday.  This very public outburst shows so many issues in the military conflict and it feeds into negative (but sometimes accurate) civilian perceptions.
