Is China Tapping Its “Inner Ike Turner?”
Matt | On 12, Feb 2010
China has really been feeling itself lately. The Communist nation is upset with President Barack Obama for his planned meeting with the Dalai Lama on February 18.
I know POTUS is flicking the ashes of that Newport 100 into the White House ash tray like, “What the hell is the problem NOW?!” Then he blows smoke rings out of his mouth saying, “F*** ’em!”
If you didn’t know, the Dalai Lama is a Tibetan spiritual leader. Tibet was overtaken by China about 60 years ago. “D-Lama” is considered a separatist because he wanted independence for Tibet from China. But, China don’t play that! So, Dalai fled Tibet and now lives in India. Now, China is still on that old mess and tries to cock-block every country from meeting with the Dalai Lama.
China has a controlling “Ike-ish” quality that doesn’t sit well with me. I get upset when the U.S. does the same thing. But, how are they going to get upset with OUR president for meeting with Dalai in OUR house? They claim it will strain U.S. – China relations. But, they just need to chill out. In the past couple of weeks, China has gotten rowdy about this Tibet mess, the Google incident, and our arms sales to Taiwan (another area they consider Chinese territory).
Let me find out that China is fining countries $5 for missing a step on stage?! Are we just the United States of Tina now???
