Michael Steele and His REAL Opinion on Afghanistan

You already know that any post with the words “Michael Steele” in the headline contains a fair amount of foolishness.
If you haven’t heard, Steele, the Republican National Committee chairman, has yet again sat his ass in some hot water and asked that the fire be turned up. YouTube is the enemy this time. The above video of said Chairman appeared on the site from a Connecticut fundraiser where he said about Afghanistan, “this is a war of Obama’s choosing.” He also said that he didn’t think the U.S. would win the war.
Mind you, this is coming from the leader of the same party that STARTED the war back in 2002! His party members also ran an entirely successful presidential campaign in 2004 negating the opinions of anyone who opposed the war.
So, does Mikey think that we Americans have fallen off the back of the stupidity wagon? I’m confused. Perhaps amnesia has set in with all the heat we’ve been experiencing in the U.S.? I’m not sure, but he’s obviously forgotten that his party has kept us in these wars much too long. The conflicts have bankrupted this country and our patience to see this stuff continue. Obama has only had to escalate this war because of the poor decision-making of the previous Administration since 2002.
It’s good to see Chairman Steele’s TRUE opinion on Afghanistan, though. Gaffe or not, I’m glad to know that his puppet strings loosened up for a second. Of course, the establishment tightened them again. Steele is now at the edge of the cliff of the GOP just waiting to be pushed off for a chairman they actually respect.
I wonder who he’ll blame his departure on?
