POTUS To Appear on “The View” on Thursday

President Obama will be joining the ladies of “The View” on Thursday for an historic interview during his trip to New York.
POTUS will be the first sitting president to appear on a daytime TV talk show. He will sit down with Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck for a wide-ranging chat about his presidency. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Prez will discuss life in the White House, his Administration’s accomplishments, the oil spill, economy, and a few other topics. Their discussion is scheduled for taping on Wednesday and will air the following day.
I kinda like when the President does non-traditional interviews like these. I have always wondered why more sitting presidents didn’t “connect with the people” more on regular TV instead of the cable/Big 3 chatter channels. There’s nothing in the Constitution that says he can’t do that type of interview. LOL!
I wonder if ole Elisabeth Hasselbeck will have her usually fill of hot air and a whole lotta mouth for Wednesday’s taping? She’s really NOT ready to see either Barack or Michelle Obama in a full-on debate. That is, unless you want to watch a TV host go up in flames on morning TV. ::side eye to Lizzy::
