Rick Sanchez Does the Public Apology Circuit

| On 11, Oct 2010

America’s favorite FORMER afternoon anchor is back again … at least for an interview this time.

Rick Sanchez, the popular CNN anchor who was fired 10 days ago, appeared on Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos to discuss his rant on Sirius-XM that landed him at the back of the unemployment line.

Sanchez was all apologies and explanations on GMA citing fatigue, irritability, and his flat-out stupidity (of sorts) as the main causes behind his rant. He hasn’t always been known as the most level-headed personality on TV.

If you remember, The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart (one of my favs) was his main target as a representation of Jewish people in the media. Regarding Stewart, Rick says he’s the “classiest guy in the world.” [Ok Rick, we get it .. you’re sorry.]

The interview sounded a lot to me like Sanchez baked and ate a whole humble pie! At this point, he apologized, directly addressed the comments and where he was in the wrong, and accepted full responsibility. He was even able to plug his book for a second. Kudos to his PR team! lol…

It’s still unclear, though, what Rick’s next career move will be. Hmm…
