Whoopi and Joy ‘Take a Walk’ on Bill O’Reilly on ‘The View’

This clip left me with my mouth wide open!

Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are here to let you know that they DO NOT PLAY when it comes to politics and current events. The two outspoken liberals of The View were part of the morning team interviewing The O’Reilly Factor‘s host Bill O’Reilly of FOX News.

Things got heated and BUTT UGLY when the topic came up about the Islamic Center near Ground Zero in Manhattan. Basically, Joy and Whoopi agree with President Obama that Muslims have a right to worship wherever they see fit. Bill, on the other hand, thinks that the mosque doesn’t need to be built anywhere near the site.

All hell broke loose when O’Reilly said that “Muslims killed us on 9/11.” PUMP. THE. BRAKES.

All of the cast members started talking in five different conversations. They had to bleep out Whoopi saying, “That’s bullshit.” [I agree with Whoopi]. Finally, O’Reilly was not backing down so Big Joy got her ass up, said she wasn’t taking this anymore, and literally WALKED OFF THE SET with Whoopi right behind her.

It’s about damn time we got some daytime-journalism-interviews with some people speaking up for what is RIGHT!! To hell with those FOX News talking points about Muslims. Attacking Islam is not the answer. PREACH JOY AND WHOOPI!!

    Oh please I'm NO fan of O'Reilly but their behavior was boorish and arrogant as hell!! No doubt what he said was wrong and stupid but Joy is a loudmouth venomous hypocrite and big time RACIST. And Whoopi is a goofy ass creepy 'house nigger' fool who defended a dirty old pedophile and Mel Gibson so neither one of them get to act like the voice of reason. I knew after that whole Ted Danson mess that Whoopi ain't wrapped too tight and cares only about herself or she's taking big gulps of the Hollywierd Kool-Aid

    While I support Whoopi and Joy's simplistic position on "they (Americans) have a right to worship anywhere they see fit", I feel they missed the opportunity to debate the underlying issue of "moral", rather than legal responsibility. That is really what the heart of this issue is all about. Barbara was right to criticize the actions of Whoopi and Joy — it was just drama. Bill at least humbled himself to correct and direct his criticism to Islamofascists (terrorists) rather than Muslims and admit he worded his argument poorly in this regard. But we never got past that to delve into anything constructive and there was no similar compromise offered from the other side. I think many Americans would like a few more questions answered –such as if this Muslim church only has $80,000 for this multi-million dollar project, where is the other funding coming from? No one seems to be asking the question. Why THIS site? Are there not many other locations in New York to build this mosque–I don't think anyone objects to that. There is something disquieting about building THAT mosque on THAT site (which holds the vaporized remains of thousands of Americans –and some Canadians and other nationals as well), that is really at the heart of this issue. This is after all, a graveyard. This does not make a person anti-Muslim to ask these questions.

    As a Canadian, my voice doesn't carry any weight in this. But we have our own concerns. The Canadian Islamic Congress, which are supposed to be the "moderate" Muslim voice which receives millions of tax-payer dollars from the Canadian gov't., just lobbied other Muslim countries NOT to vote for Canada for a seat on the U.N. security council. What this says to me is that this group speaks for the majority of Muslims in our country, but obviously puts Islam ahead of being Canadian. That truly concerns me. But no worries, no one here in Canada is holding them to task for that either, for fear of "offending" them.

    Whoopi and Joy are definitely my favorite on The View. The two of them are honest and keep it completely real. I love that they didn't back down. I think Bill O'Reilly lost his mind trying to talk down to them. He better be glad they were on TV. I'm certain that Whoopi would have had a little extra for him. "Don't do it Miss Celie!"
