WTF Moment: J.D. Hayworth’s Bestiality Argument
Matt | On 16, Mar 2010
This is another one of those “you gotta see/hear it to believe it” moments.
J.D. Hayworth is a GOP primary candidate for Senate in Arizona. He will be running against Sen. John McCain in the August 24 primary to get on the November ballot.
Well, I haven’t heard great things about J.D. in the past few weeks courtesy of The Randi Rhodes Show on XM 165. He proved us right. On Sunday, he appeared on Orlando’s WORL-AM discussing why he supports a federal amendment banning gay marriage. Brace yourself for this one.
He used the Massachusetts ruling in favor of same-sex marriage and stated (with no facts) that the state allows marriage based based on “an establishment of intimacy.” Basically, he thinks because you lay in the bed with someone or something, then you can marry him/her/it. Umm no. He said that (his perception) of the ruling could lead to “a man marrying a horse.” W-T-F????
Enter MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, who just happens to be in a same-sex relationship. She is also a BEAST of a journalist, former radio personality, and a Ph.D. Dr. Maddow got that ass right together!! Check her out below on her show Monday night calling out Hayworth’s unsubstantiated claim. She read the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruling to look for their definition of intimacy .. and basically made Hayworth look stupid because “the establishment of intimacy” mention evaporated from the document.
