FOX News Hires Former Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh

The HR department at FOX News has put former Indiana Senator Evan Bayh’s resume in their “expedited” pile, as they do many who have held elected office in the past.
The “news channel” hired Bayh (pronounced “Bye”), a Democrat, as a contributor to their network. (Yes, they actually hire Democrats over there!) His role will be similar to those of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin or Juan Williams, formerly of NPR. He will be featured across the FOX News outlets, according to The Huffington Post.
This news should not come as any shock to you. FOX is great at blurring the lines between journalism and politics, even though Bayh will only be a contributor and a rare Democratic one at that. Current Ohio Governor John Kasich (R) used to contribute to the network. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) has his own show on FOX called Huckabee.
Bayh did not seek reelection to the Senate last November after saying that he couldn’t take it the partisanship anymore. Now, though, he has run off to the most partisan network on TV. It doesn’t quite make sense to me, but I guess a check is a check to some people. And FOX pays a helluva lot more than the U.S. Senate.
In addition to serving as senator, Bayh was also the governor of Indiana at one point. His Democratic viewpoints on FOX should be interesting since he comes from an ultra-conservative state. I don’t think he’s going to be that far left on too many issues on there.
Gotta love corporate media!
