GOP Leaders Walk Away From Work On Payroll Tax Cut (VIDEO)

Here is some footage of House Republicans literally walking away from work in Congress this week.
The clip shows Speaker Pro Tem Michael Fitzpatrick (R-Pennsylvania) ignoring requests from House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Maryland) to bring up the Senate version of the payroll tax cut plan. As you may know, House Republicans eventually voted against the Democrats measure to keep payroll taxes from going up on January 1.
What you see is the Republican leadership walking away from doing important business with Democrats. It’s a procedural move and Fitzpatrick was instructed to do it by House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio). It makes no sense, though.
Think about it. Would you be able to walk off your job whenever you were asked to do something you didn’t like?
As I always say, this is your government NOT hard at work people!
