Nancy Pelosi Scoffs at Pointless Debate Invitation from Rick Perry

It seems that Rick Perry’s campaign for president has either hit a new low or is completely checked out on reality. Maybe both?
On Thursday, it was announced that Perry now wants to publicly debate House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi when he arrives in Washington, D.C. on Monday.
Pelosi is not even running for president and never has been. Did he pull her name out of a hat and decide to go after her? This makes absolutely no sense. It’s like the president traveling to Montana to debate a city councilman … on a national stage about federal issues.
Perry also failed to look in the mirror and realize that he is probably the most piss-poor debater among any of the GOP candidates. Let’s not forget the “Oops” heard ’round the world at last week’s CNBC debate. He also needs to be reminded about this little thing called the state of TEXAS that he is supposed to be running as its current governor.
Nancy Pelosi is too smart, and frankly too busy, to ever agree to debate Rick Perry. She will be on the West Coast on Monday anyway. In her weekly news conference on Thursday, Pelosi mocked Perry when she said she couldn’t remember all of the three events on her schedule for Monday. (Last week, Perry said he couldn’t remember the third of three federal departments he would cut as president).
Perry feels that if Pelosi doesn’t want a public debate, then perhaps she should turn over all documents related to allegations of insider trading from an earlier TV report. She won’t. Nancy would airmail those documents to the devil in hell much faster than she ever would Rick Perry.
The last thing we need on TV is another debate. And if Rick Perry knew what was best for him, he wouldn’t allow Nancy Pelosi to eat him A-LIVE on national TV. He’s taken enough beatings for one person.
