President Obama Should Dance About His Approval Ratings

President Obama may not be the shitty president that conservative, corporate media is making him out to be. The man might actually be able to somewhat lead an industrialized country. Well, SOME people have learned that recently…
The approval ratings for POTUS have surged in the past month. Pollsters track the president’s overall job approval ratings weekly (and sometimes daily), so they have a pretty good idea of how President Obama fares in the minds of Americans.
Quinnipiac, Marist, Ipsos-Reuters, AP-Gfk, and YouGov polling operations all saw increases in approval ratings for the Commander-in-Chief over the past month. You can drown yourself silly in the detailed poll numbers by clicking here.
So why the sudden turn of goodwill toward the man that some Americans love to hate?
Well, after the ass-whipping the Democrats took at the polls in November, Congress came back for its lame duck session firing on all cylinders. They passed some monumental legislation, including the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’, the Food Safety Authorization Act, and the renewal of the START treaty, to name a few. The president was right there all along urging Congress to stay in the fight and making good use of the final days with some of the Democratic lawmakers who lost their elections.
I don’t personally think that the president HIMSELF worked harder. It seems as if was finally rewarded for some of the hard work he has already put it in.
Either way, I’m sure he’ll take the American people’s brief pat on the back. It doesn’t come often these days.
