Openly Gay House Members Record “It Gets Better” Video

| On 08, Nov 2011

The four co-chairs of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus have recorded an “It Gets Better” video as encouragement to gay teens and youth.

Watch Reps. Barney Frank (D-MA), David Cicilline (D-RI), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), and Jared Polis (D-CO) share their experiences as the four openly gay current members of Congress.

The video was made as part of The Trevor Project, an organization that provides crisis and suicide prevention services to LGBT youth. Several notable celebrities, including President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recorded videos last year as a wave of teen suicides came about from bullying.

Is it me, or does Barney Frank look about 3/4 asleep in this video? It was throwing me off of his message. lol…
