Pastor Calls “Pump-Side” Prayer Service for Gas Prices

In economics, you learn supply and demand regarding items like food, shelter, and clothing.
When it comes to gas prices … you can throw out mathematics and head straight to the throne of the Most High!
That’s the approach that a faith leader in Dublin, Georgia has taken at a local Kroger grocery/gas station. Pastor Marshall Mabry of Beacon of Light Christian Center plans a prayer service this Saturday AT one of the Kroger gas stations in town. He sees the rising gas prices, even in rural central Georgia, and he is determined to bring the fire of GAWD to lower them!
Pastor Mabry has done this prayer vigil twice before and he’s hoping that it will catch on across the nation.
Honestly, I busted out laughing when I read this news story. The more I think about it, though, it makes sense. I’m not sure that Kroger themselves can do anything about prices, but it doesn’t hurt. Gas prices are too damn high anyway, so why not pray about them? The greedy oil companies and speculators aren’t lowering them anytime soon.
We need some folks praying around the headquarters of these oil companies. How about that?! And we need other people praying around the U.S. Capitol that the lawmakers will wake their asses up about alternative energy sources.
