Preview of TONIGHT’S Jobs Plan Speech from Pres. Obama
Matt | On 08, Sep 2011
Don’t forget that President Obama will speak to a joint session of Congress and the nation TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The president will unveil his jobs plan to address the stubborn 9.1% U.S. unemployment rate. In the above video, the White House Senior Advisor David Plouffe gives a general overview of what Mr. Obama will discuss this evening.
Let’s be clear. The president nor his Administration “creates jobs.” However, they can encourage the main players – workers, the unemployed, employers, entrepreneurs, and Congress – to do their part to create a better economic environment. It takes work from everyone.
As always, I’ll be live-tweeting on my Twitter page beginning shortly before 7:00 p.m. through the end of the speech. Look for my blow-by-blow tonight on what I think of this “plan.”
