Rahm Emanuel Officially Gets to Run for Chicago Mayor

| On 27, Jan 2011

Rahm Emanuel has superpowers (and connections) that seem to get him his way. He's officially back in the race for the top slot in Chicago.

King Rahm reigns supreme in the City of Chicago…

The saga of the former White House Chief of Staff who is running for mayor just took a turn for the better .. for Rahm Emanuel. The Illinois Supreme Court ruled unanimously that his name needs to be added back to the Chicago mayoral ballot for February 22. Early voting starts January 31.

On Monday, an appellate court ruled 2-1 that Emanuel was ineligible to run for mayor because of an issue with his residency. He owns a house in the city that he rented out while he worked in Washington, D.C. When he returned to Chicago after leaving the White House, his tenant wouldn’t vacate the home so Rahm could “live” there. It turned into a media issue with some claiming that he didn’t meet the residency requirements to run for mayor.

Well, that argument is done and over with now. He’s on the ballot. If you live in Chicago you can either vote for him or someone else. It’s your choice…

I tell ya … “Rahm-bo” will smoke out any force in his way to get what he wants. lol…
