Rep. Dennis Kucinich Sues Companies Over Olive Pit In His Food

Former Cleveland mayor and current Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) had to show out on the catering company in one of the House office buildings about three years ago.
Gawker found that the Cleveland area Congressman is suing several food service companies to the tune of $150,000 for an olive pit that was left in his wrapped sandwich.
Yes, this is serious. lol…
Rep. Kucinich claims that he “sustained serious and permanent dental and oral injuries requiring multiple surgical and dental procedures, and has sustained other damages as well, including significant pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment.”
The defendants in the case are Restaurant Associates, the cafeteria’s operator. Also listed are its parent company, Compass Group USA, and two food suppliers, Performance Food Group Co. and Foodbuy LLC.
So yeah, Dennis was busy eating a sandwich in the House cafeteria and instead of looking at his food, I guess he claims to have bitten the olive pit. Hmmm…. I could see a few thousand maybe if damage was really done, but $150,000? Is he having surgery to repair his mouth AND his intestines? Wow.
Mind you, the incident allegedly happened in April 2008. He just filed his lawsuit paperwork earlier this month in D.C. Superior Court. Umm, ok. That was pressing, Dennis….
