Bush Portrait Unveiling Frightens Americans With Bad Memories (VIDEO)

In my recent travels, I forgot to post this little gem of light political news.
President and Mrs. Obama unveiled the official portraits of former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura. The ceremony went off without a hitch and it’s pretty standard around the White House to honor former leaders.
So I’m sitting in the airport watching the news, this sudden wave of terror came over me. Lo and behold, Mr. Bush stepped to the mic and began thanking Obama for the honor.
As Bush spoke, it instantly reminded me of when HE was president. I almost had a meltdown right in the terminal. I don’t need to go back to that dark place in time. I’m all for the portraits, but they could have kept that piece of “podium imagery.”

ANSWER IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW:
Is it me, or did they make Laura a lot more fashionable in her portrait than I remember her in the White House?

First, the Off Topic section makes me think of a friend of ours. In every conversation she is guaranteed to say "This is way off the subject but…" at least once. With that digression, I must agree. The painter made Mrs. Bush almost fahn. I don't remember her having 1/10 the fashion sense as Jackie O. or Mrs. O.
