Actress Eva Longoria has landed on her feet after the cancellation of ABC’s long-time hit “Desperate Housewives” earlier this year.

After the show ended, Longoria took a more high-profile role in President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. She was used as a key surrogate in reaching the Latino vote, even recording ads in English and Spanish and speaking at the Democratic National Convention.

Now that Obama won re-election, Longoria has been tapped to co-chair the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee. This is a really good move for her as she will oversee a lot of the planning of next month’s inauguration — at least as a figurehead.

I’m not mad at Eva at all. She made an inroads with the Obama campaign a while back and will not let that pony go for anything!
