New Obama Ad Swipes Romney About Closing Steel Plant (VIDEO)

The Obama campaign is taking every jab they can at the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, Mitt Romney.
In what seems like a never-ending stream of campaign ads over the past few weeks, President Obama released another one to talk about Romney’s poor record on jobs.
The six-minute piece takes the viewer through the closing of GST Steel in Kansas City. In 2001, the steel mill was bought by Bain Capital, a company that Romney created. The video notes how the private equity firm decimated jobs at the plant, saddled it with debt, and ultimately led to its closure.
At the same time, independent fact-checkers have noted that Romney left Bain in 1999, two years before the GST purchase. So, they don’t feel the ad is fair to Romney. However, Romney didn’t just work for Bain as an employee. He created the company. I find it a bit hard to divorce someone from a business and the culture they founded.
A shorter, two-minute version of the spot (see video below) will air in Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Virginia.
