Newt Gingrich SMOKES John King In CNN Debate Opener

I’m pretty sure the paint was peeling off the walls in the North Charleston Coliseum on Thursday night.
The remaining four GOP candidates – Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum – gathered for the CNN/Southern Republican Presidential Debate about a broad range of issues.
The attitudes started flying as soon as the first question was asked.
John King began by asking Newt about his ex-wife Marianne and her salacious new charges about him asking for an open marriage in their relationship.
That’s when Newt erupted like a volcano in a tirade against John King!
In all fairness, the question has little to do with the campaign. But remember, we just went through a month of Herman Cain being dragged for all kinds of charges. There wasn’t a peep from the Gingrich campaign to stop it. Also, he was Speaker of the House in 1998 when Republicans vilified President Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky … while he (Newt) was having a secret affair with his current wife Callista!!
In a true deflection, Gingrich blamed the media for running with the story. That doesn’t quite make sense to me. He says the “elite liberal media” is “protecting Barack Obama.” Yeah, Obama was really protected when as the elected leader of the free world he had to show his BIRTH CERTIFICATE just to prove to Republicans that he was really an American.
It sounds like Newt needs to have a sit-down talk with his ex-wife and tell her to keep her mouth closed. Gingrich went on to berate King, CNN, and ABC News. He even said that his daughter wrote a letter to ABC asking them not to run Marianne’s interview.
It was HILARIOUS!
As usual, Newt used Sarah Palin’s tactic of making the media the scapegoat while using anger to bully the questioner. When you ask Newt about all the things HE wants to talk about and the filth he throws at Mitt Romney, then he’s Chatty Cathy. Ask him about those marriage vows or family values, then he’s a fresh mute. Nawl sir…
John King is a strong man. I applaud him for doing whatever he had to in order to keep his job and not choke Newt Gingrich on live television.
