Your dreams of taking a photo with Newt Gingrich may soon come true if you have a spare $50 on your debit or credit card.
Yes, the perpetually third-place candidate wants YOU to shell out one Ulysses Grant bill for a photo op with him.
Unless someone is a fan of Newt Gingrich or just feels sorry for his campaign, I can think of a lot better ways to blow $50.
The man will not win the presidency in November, so he’ll be pretty much the same person after inauguration as he is today. Where’s the value in the picture?
If you do sign up for the photo op, you pay online and retrieve the photo there as well. The photos will be taken at Gingrich rallies around the country.
This is a strategy that Gingrich’s campaign is using to address its rising debt and few fundraising opportunities. It’s a new take on the 2008 Obama strategy of small donations in large numbers to raise sizable cash.
Note: You better get in on the action now. If “rallies” are the meeting places for photo ops, he shouldn’t have too many of those left considering his poor standing among candidates.
