Romney Wants Racist Votes, Says Obama Surrogate

| On 24, Jul 2012

A surrogate of the Obama campaign in Virginia has spoken her mind and doesn’t care who agrees with her.

State Sen. Louise Lucas made an appearance on The John Fredericks Show, a Hampton Roads-area radio program.

In it, she got right to the point with her feelings about how President Obama is being treated by people who oppose his policies.

She feels that race plays a key role in the unrealistic expectations that people have on Obama. In short, Lucas says, many of the president’s detractors don’t want to see anyone other than a white person in the Oval Office.

Lucas was quite animated during her comments, but it’s easy to tell that she has felt this way for a while. Her opinion is not totally out in left field. Many in the black community have felt Obama has not been held to the same standard as other white elected officials, particularly former President George W. Bush.

But, it’s all in how each person looks at the situation.

I expect some sort of distancing from the campaign or a statement against Lucas’s comments in 5 .. 4 .. 3 .. 2 .. and GO! Or, they may choose to simply ignore what she said. Either way, do NOT expect to hear the president repeating the lines she said in the radio interview.
