A Virginia man is in a world of trouble today after threatening to take the life of President Obama and bomb national points of interest.
Christopher Hecker of Waynesboro, Virginia faces charges for saying he would take the life of the president and destroy Philadelphia City Hall and the former World Trade Center site, among other locations.
Hecker’s campaign of hate was picked up in April by the Secret Service. This dummy actually logged into a computer at the Waynesboro Public Library, as he regularly did, to send one of the threats. He was later arrested outside.
The threats landed at various local and national media outlets and were shared with law enforcement.
In an email to CNN, Hecker included the following threat:
“[Obama] is the one that is destroying patriotism in the U.S.A. Ted Nugent is right. So, Obama is allowing me to be tortured to the point that I may murder someone, rather than deal with the mess he made. Your president is a coward.”
It’s interesting that Hecker made the reference to rock singer Ted Nugent. If you remember, Nugent himself got in some hot water with the U.S. Secret Service in April. He spoke in an NRA video that appeared on YouTube where he said he’d be “dead or in jail” if President Obama is re-elected.
It goes to show that words from influential media and entertainment figures can go a long way.
I’m sure this isn’t the only threat the president has received lately. However, you have to question how mentally stable Heckler was when he said upon arrest that he wanted the death penalty with no attorney. Umm ok …..

no excuses…..NONE

Hecker is probably not receiving the treatment he needs for his mental illness. Or perhaps it has not been diagnosed. At any rate, this is a timely post considering it is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Either Hecker will represent himself or cause some public defender to cry everyday that he/she has to come to work. While I'm in no way interested in email threats, it seems that one would not use a public computer that is monitored. He needs some people.
