Daughter of Sandy Hook Victim Walks Out of Sen. Ayotte’s Town Hall (VIDEO)

This is a sobering reminder of how gun violence affects people differently living in the same society.
Here we see a video of Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) at a town hall event in northern New Hampshire. She is speaking to a full crowd when the topic comes up of her vote against expanded background checks for gun sales. The lady shown asking the question in the audience is Erica Lafferty, the daughter of Dawn Hochsprung, the principal of Sandy Hook Elementary School who was gunned down on December 14.
Lafferty confronts Ayotte about why she voted against the expanded background checks. The senator explains that the focus should be on increased resources for mental health checks, which Congress has NOT advanced yet. She also tells Lafferty that the “burden” on small gun shop owners on implementing expanded background checks would be too much.
Most likely pissed out of her mind, Lafferty abruptly walks out of the town hall as Sen. Ayotte finishes her reply. I have to agree with Lafferty. The spineless senator deserved that walk-out.
