George W. Bush Consoles Alabama Kicker With Letter

You can say a lot of mean things about George W. Bush. But, the man does have a heart.
Recently, the former president sent a personalized pick-me-up letter to the University of Alabama kicker, Cade Foster. On November 30, Foster played in the in-state rivalry game against Auburn University. He missed two field goals and had a third blocked before being removed from the game. His replacement missed another field goal attempt with one-second left in the game. The ball was recovered and Auburn scored a touchdown to win the game.
Needless to say, Foster received some serious blowback from fans and media on his game performance. He even was the subject of a few death threats.
Foster’s story caught the attention of former President Bush who sent him a little note.
“Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However you will be a stronger human with time. I wish you all the best. Sincerely – Another 43 – George Bush.” he wrote.
Ironically, Foster and Bush share the same number (#43) in their respective fields. Bush served as the nation’s 43rd president.
Foster says, per his Instagram account, that he will frame the letter from Bush. I thought that was a really nice and random gesture from ole’ Bushie.
