Per the annual tradition, a small group of people are hand-selected by the First Lady to attend the State of the Union Address on Capitol Hill.

The office of First Lady Michelle Obama released a list of people who will be seated in the her section at tonight’s speech. It seems that every attendee has some special connection either to the administration or a specific cause championed by the president and/or Mrs. Obama.

In addition to Dr. Jill Biden and Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to the president, 23 individuals will be sitting with them. One of the guests even includes a teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut and Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple.
