Jon Stewart Humiliates GOP Over Tweet About Rosa Parks ‘Ending Racism’ (VIDEO)

Per his usual, Jon Stewart blasted Republicans about yet another social gaffe they made.
He went in on them because of a tweet sent Sunday from the @GOP account owned by the Republican National Committee. They wanted to honor the 58th anniversary of Rosa Parks’s refusal to move to the back of the bus in Montgomery, Alabama — the act that officially kicked off the Civil Rights Movement. Republicans said the following about Ms. Parks:
“Today we remember Rosa Parks’ bold stand and her role in ending racism.”
Well unless the world has been asleep at the wheel all of these years, then we know that Ms. Parks did not “end” racism. She played a strong hand in protesting for justice, though. The RNC’s original tweet was clearly an incomplete thought, but one that no one even seemed to question before tweeting.
A few hours later, the RNC corrected their tweet to say:
“Previous tweet should have read “Today we remember Rosa Parks’ bold stand and her role in fighting to end racism.””
Uh yeah?! That’s all it took for Jon Stewart and the Twitterverse to have a field day. Check it out.
