‘Morning Joe’ Host Proven Wrong On Live TV About Obamacare Hotline (VIDEO)

It’s about time that all the Republican rhetoric met some facts when it comes to Obamacare.
On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough was citing his usual GOP talking points about how terrible Obamacare is along with the rollout of health insurance marketplaces for consumers. He spoke of how both the website and toll-free signup hotline (800-318-2596) were not working properly. During the rant, his co-host, Mika Brzezinski, called the hotline directly herself to see how long it would take to sign up.
Shocking thing is that, within about a minute, Brzezinski was met with the voice of a live operator ready to help her get coverage. Let’s remember that this had to happen sometime between 6:00 – 9:00 a.m. ET when the show airs live. The look on Scarborough’s face when he was made to look stupid said that his mouth wasn’t quite big enough to fit his entire boot.
I respect various opinions about Obamacare and what could be done better. But, when criticism overshadows basic fact-checking and reason, I have to disagree with people. Many Republicans like this host have rushed to talk down about the program before ever giving it a chance. It’s the GOP way! And we sit here STILL with no concrete plan from them on how they would fix the broken healthcare system.

Have you or anyone you know had success in signing up for health insurance via the Healthcare.gov website or the toll-free number?
