Political miracles still do come true.
President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat down for a joint interview with ’60 Minutes.’ Observers four or five years ago would have never imagined this taking place after their bitter primary campaign fight.
Much of the interview focused on that anomaly — as it is viewed by the press and public, but not so much by the two of them. Obama and Clinton seem to be light years ahead of those bitter days and actually enjoying each other professionally and as friends. You could sense their warmth in the interview.
The two also discussed the situation in Benghazi, her fiery testimony on Capitol Hill on January 23, and what they believe are some of their successes in the first term of the Administration. Clinton is wrapping up her service as secretary of state as Sen. John Kerry will soon take her place.
