Obama Talks to the Press About Shutdown and Debt Ceiling (VIDEO)
President Obama took to the podium of the White House Briefing Room on Tuesday afternoon to discuss a few pressing issues in Washington, D.C.
Clearly, the top two priorities are the partial federal government shutdown and the impending vote on the debt ceiling next week. Obama reiterated that he is willing to sit down with Republicans and discuss a range of issues — after they reopen the government and raise the debt ceiling.
At this point, the White House is pulling out its big guns (i.e., the president in a full press conference) to make the case to end this shutdown and straighten out the mess in Washington. Let’s not forget that each day more services are strangled because of the shutdown.
I’m glad President Obama is standing up to Republicans ransom of wanting to get rid of Obamacare in exchange for operating the government at a basic level. What kind of “logic” is the GOP trying to show? Just dumb…
Check out what Obama had to say to some of the reporters in the presser.
