New York Daily News Cracks Fat Joke With Christie Cover (PHOTO)

As the Bridgegate scandal envelopes the halls of government in Trenton, New Jersey, certain outlets have seized on the opportunity to poke fun at Gov. Chris Christie.
Last week, the New York Daily News threw every bit of ire they could at the governor and the potential sinking of his presidential hopes. The title read, “FAT CHANCE NOW, CHRIS” — as an obvious jab at his portly figure. It appeared on the edition released on Thursday, January 9.
I would call this move shady, but it was done in such broad daylight that anyone could have seen what they meant. Lol… It definitely isn’t the first time an outlet used his weight as the butt of a joke. Every time something happens to Christie, we can come to expect a crack being made about his weight.
Fat joke or not, the bridge story definitely isn’t going away soon. It looks like the Transportation Committee in the New Jersey General Assembly will get renewed subpoena power this week. This will allow them to press the governor’s office further for more details.
Meanwhile, I’ll be keeping an eye out for the newspaper covers in the coming weeks….
