President Obama and many American people have become fed up with Congressional inaction around the issues they care about most.
In his latest weekly address on January 11, the president declared that 2014 will be a year of action around major issues such as long-term unemployment, benefits, and education. He calls out Congress for not doing their part in the past to address issues where the American people needed their leadership.
Obama also referenced his upcoming State of the Union address the national mission of making sure the economy works fairly for all hard-working Americans. It will be interesting to see exactly what he proposes at the end of the month — considering it is a midterm election year and hundreds of Congressional members are vying for re-election.
Will this be the second year in a row that we break the record for having the laziest Congress in history?
