Steve Harvey Mistakenly Calls Michelle Nunn a Black Woman On Air

Steve Harvey Mistakenly Calls Michelle Nunn a Black Woman On Air

| On 04, Nov 2014

This had to be one of the funniest clips I have heard in a while.

Media personality and comedian Steve Harvey used his morning show on Monday to host U.S. Senate candidate Michelle Nunn from Georgia as a call-in guest. The idea, in my opinion, was to use Harvey’s overwhelming drive-time reach to urge African-Americans to vote in Tuesday’s midterm elections. The premise was fair enough.

Things got funny when Harvey urged his listeners to vote for Nunn because she would be the “first African-American woman to represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate.”

Wait. Whoa. What?!

Nunn is clearly a white woman. That fact cannot and has never been disputed at all. Harvey talked to her for over six minutes on his live national radio broadcast thinking she was white?! HUH?! LMAO!

Seeing Michelle Nunn on TV all the time here in Georgia, it tickled me that anyone would confuse her for black. And believe me, my comments in no way are meant to bash Nunn. I just could not believe what I was hearing from Steve Harvey.

Fact-checking is a beautiful thing, people.

Note: Skip to 6:20 to hear Steve Harvey’s big egg-on-the-face moment. lol…
