We Are Slowly Coming Off Our Hiatus
Matt | On 25, Aug 2014
Running a website is hard.
That’s why by the end of July I took and unplanned, but well-deserved, hiatus from Prune Juice Media. I love my work and the site, but I needed a break. I usually like to time my hiatuses around Congress and President Obama. Since
every month August is a slow working month, at least for Congress, that seems to be a great time. President Obama takes an annual vacation around August, so it tends to work out.
That was not the case this year. My need for a break came during one of the busiest summer news cycles I have seen in quite a while. There has been continual breaking news on:
- Michael Brown and the Ferguson, Missouri protests
- U.S. airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq
- Daniel Foley’s beheading in Iraq
- Perpetual conflict between Israel and Gaza
- The usual shenanigans and WTF statements of members of Congress
I apologize in advance for the lack of stories posted on the site on these topics. Please note that most of these issues did not even exist the last time I posted on July 29. I am sure you understand, but I just wanted to offer clarity.
On Twitter, I have made comments on most of the topics, specifically the ongoing situation in Ferguson. I would highly encourage you to follow me there if you are not doing so.
It is now time for me to slowly come off of my hiatus. *tears* I would like to think, though, I am a little more refreshed and ready to post. I have definitely missed the site and my great readers.
Thank you for sticking with me!
